Terms of Service

Lynx.Surf lets you build a personal homepage made of saved links, images, settings, and notes. These terms explain what you can expect from the service and what Lynx.Surf expects from you.

Your page, your responsibility

You control the links, titles, images, notes, and settings you save. You are responsible for making sure they are lawful and appropriate.

Stored images need rights

If you upload an image or provide an image URL, you must have the rights or permission needed for Lynx.Surf to store and display it for your account.

Third-party links are separate

Lynx.Surf is not responsible for the content, security, privacy, or availability of sites you save or visit from your links page.

Acceptance of These Terms

By creating an account, signing in, or using Lynx.Surf, you agree to these Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

You must be at least 13 years old to use Lynx.Surf. If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, you may use Lynx.Surf only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.

The Service

Lynx.Surf provides a customizable homepage for saved links, link images, layout preferences, settings, saved notes, account data export/import, active session review, recent security activity review, and partner advertising tools. The service may change over time as features are added, improved, or removed.

Lynx.Surf is provided for personal organization, convenience, and partner campaign management. Partner wallets are advertising credits, not bank accounts. Lynx.Surf is not intended to be a secure records archive, emergency service, legal compliance system, or guaranteed backup service.

Accounts and Security

  • You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your login credentials private.
  • You are responsible for activity that happens through your account unless it results from Lynx.Surf failing to use reasonable security measures.
  • You must notify Lynx.Surf if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
  • Lynx.Surf may use cookies, account sessions, human-verification checks, activity records, and other security controls to protect accounts and the service.

Your Content

Your content includes links, link titles, link order, uploaded images, image URLs, stored image copies, saved notes, profile images, and settings you add to Lynx.Surf.

You keep ownership

You keep whatever ownership rights you have in your content. Lynx.Surf does not claim ownership of your saved links, notes, or images.

Lynx.Surf gets a limited license

You allow Lynx.Surf to host, store, cache, process, display, and transmit your content as needed to provide and secure the service.

Images may be copied

When you upload an image or provide an image URL, Lynx.Surf may store a display copy with your account so it can be displayed from Lynx.Surf.

You need permission

You must have the rights, licenses, or permissions needed for the content you save and for Lynx.Surf to use it as described here.

Do not use Lynx.Surf to store sensitive information unless you are comfortable with the risks of a small web service. Saved notes are protected while stored, but no online service can promise perfect security.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse Lynx.Surf or help anyone else misuse it. You must not:

  • Break the law, violate someone else's rights, or store content you do not have permission to use.
  • Use Lynx.Surf for malware, phishing, credential theft, spam, harassment, doxxing, fraud, or abusive automation.
  • Attempt to access another user's account, data, sessions, activity records, images, notes, or links without permission.
  • Probe, overload, scrape, interfere with, or bypass security controls on Lynx.Surf.
  • Upload or link to content that is unlawful, exploitative, infringing, defamatory, or intentionally harmful.

Third-Party Sites and Content

Lynx.Surf lets users save links to third-party sites. Lynx.Surf does not control and is not responsible for third-party websites, services, images, downloads, content, privacy practices, security, or availability.

You are responsible for deciding whether to trust any site you save or visit from Lynx.Surf.

Partner Wallets and Payments

Advertisers may fund a Lynx.Surf partner wallet to pay for sponsored link campaigns. Wallet balances may be increased by card payment, admin credit, or other supported adjustments, and may be reduced by campaign charges, refunds, corrections, or other account adjustments.

Card payments are processed by Square. If you save a card, you authorize Lynx.Surf to let Square keep that payment method available for future wallet refills and optional auto top-ups you enable. You can remove saved cards from the partner billing page.

Campaign delivery, wallet eligibility, rates, and billing rules may change over time. Lynx.Surf may pause or stop serving campaigns when a wallet balance is too low, when a campaign cap is reached, when a campaign expires, or when review or account issues require it.

Refunds and account credits are handled at Lynx.Surf's discretion unless a separate written agreement says otherwise. Refunded amounts may be removed from the partner wallet balance.

Privacy

The Privacy Policy explains how Lynx.Surf collects, uses, stores, and shares information. By using Lynx.Surf, you also agree to the Privacy Policy.

Availability and Changes

Lynx.Surf may be interrupted, delayed, changed, limited, or discontinued at any time. Lynx.Surf may update features, storage behavior, security controls, design, or account requirements as needed.

Lynx.Surf may also remove content, reject imports, revoke sessions, or limit access when needed for security, legal compliance, service integrity, or violation of these terms.

Suspension and Termination

You may stop using Lynx.Surf at any time. Lynx.Surf may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms, create risk for the service or others, or if account access must be restricted for legal or security reasons.

After termination, some information may remain in backups, logs, or records where reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, or dispute handling.

Disclaimers

Lynx.Surf is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent allowed by law, Lynx.Surf disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, reliability, accuracy, and security.

Lynx.Surf does not promise that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure against every risk, or that saved links, notes, settings, images, exports, imports, sessions, or activity records will never be lost or inaccurate.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Lynx.Surf will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including lost data, lost profits, business interruption, or damages related to third-party sites or content.

Where liability cannot be excluded, Lynx.Surf's total liability for claims related to the service will be limited to the greater of the amount you paid to Lynx.Surf in the 12 months before the claim or 100 USD.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law rules. Before filing a claim, you agree to try to resolve the issue informally by contacting Lynx.Surf.

Changes to These Terms

Lynx.Surf may update these terms from time to time. The updated page will show the new effective date. Continued use of Lynx.Surf after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
